To establish, strengthen, build, enhance and sustain the relationship between Mauritius in the multi-disciplinary fields of scientific, medical, agricultural, trade union and religious among others through a proactive engagement so as to realise the above areas to which Israel has been contributing for the upliftment of humanity throughout centuries.

To promote friendly relations  and to foster social and cultural activities between the citizens of the two countries.

To collect at the seat of the association any documentation likely to promote the aims of the association.

To organise all activities relating to these aims.

Stand up against the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction movement.

To acknowledge and recognise that the Jewish people have made an enormous contribution in social, religious and culture, scientific/medical and agriculture, philosophy and literature and art to humanity in many fields for more than 2000 years. L'AMI aims at strengthen the ties between our two countries educate, spread this knowledge and information both locally and internationally so that Jewish people will always be seen and remembered as one of the most significant innovative and productive people in human history.

To be apolitical and open to all faith and religions, we believe the best means to achieve peace is not only through tolerance but by welcoming people from all sides and faiths and this can be achieved through dissemination of information and reinforcing the historical connection between Mauritius and Israel.

Observe and respect the commemoration of the Holocaust.

Opposition to any manifestation of anti-Semitism or racism, discrimination and distortion of information. We recognised the sad episode in history of the sufferings of the Jewish people for eons. We believe in the equality of all persons notwithstanding whom they are and where they live.
